Just been struck by an idea to build a multiple LED based light (probably spherical), controlled via an open web API. Web users will control the bulbs by programming the open control, and changing my lounge experience in whatever means they feel fit. They could program patterns, messages, images, etc, etc.
Food for thought at least!
Kutiman’s YouTube mashup’s are just god-damn ridiculous. How he’s achieved such high production standards from often questionable assets baffles me! The fella obviously has some Logic serious skills. And the whole idea, for me, takes the art of music production to a completely different era.

Last Friday I was lucky enough to attend a talk at the Victoria and Albert Museum by the fantastic Thomas Heatherwick. The talk was in part a presentation of the latest work from the Heatherwick Studio and an interview conducted by Alice Rawsthorn of the International Herald Tribune.
His approach to creative solutions was simply superb. An example he gave of the studio’s answer to question the V&A had set to them quite simply stunned me in it’s elegance and simplicity. I’ve seen many an ‘renowned’ creative present their work, but none has inspired me in quite the way that Thomas Heatherwick did.
If you get a chance to check out any of his work I’d really recommend it. And if you want to look at one of his earlier pieces - the rolling bridge - you can see it in action every Friday @ 12pm, due to popular demand.
